Edits has added Halloween fonts, sounds and animations in a new round of video-editing updates reported on October 27. Alongside the seasonal options, Meta's app is getting caption styles and bulk caption editing, giving creators changes to both the look of a clip and the text that explains its audio.

Social Media Today reports 13 new text animations, beat-synced effects, automated color adjustments and individual clip volume up to 150%. Its account of Meta's announcement also says carousel editing is reaching Android after its earlier iOS release. The seasonal additions are part of a broader editing update.
Changing caption style is separate from checking caption accuracy
A bulk edit can change many captions quickly, but appearance alone cannot establish whether they match the soundtrack. The W3C's caption guidance explains that useful captions include speech and the non-speech audio needed to understand a scene. Automatic captions still need an accuracy check.
That matters in a Halloween clip built around a sudden sound. A scream, a knock or an off-screen voice may carry the story even when no character is speaking. Our editorial suggestion is to watch the finished clip without sound, then compare its captions with the audio. Decorative lettering and animated words can support the mood while the essential information remains clear.
Review the finished clip after applying effects
Color changes, animated text and louder audio can alter a clip after its first caption pass. Checking the export catches whether text covers an important action or whether a new sound needs explaining. This is a suggested review step, not a claim that we tested the update or measured an improvement in reach.
The Edits Plus storage discussion concerns where projects can move between devices. The PixelDojo planning workflow puts review before generation. These new Edits tools operate later, on the clip itself, where caption accuracy and a readable final frame still require attention.
